Today in class we took a few notes from a powerpoint, which is always educational, then did an activity with our groups. I was in group number 3, and my group had the argument that the British should hold control of the colonies but let the colonies be more independent and promote peace between the two. If I were really put in the position of a British person in the 1770s, I like to think that I'd be understanding of the colonist's point of views, so I think it will be easy to debate this point of view.
