10-4-10

Today we went over the Battles of the South. I am all caught up from being absent on Friday, and I think I know all the information that was learned on Friday also. We learned a lot about different strategies and ideas of the generals in the Revolution, such as Cornwallis' idea of escape from the Chesapeake Bay. Unfortunately for him, the militia had the French on their side, and defeated him. But it was still a good strategy, and strategy seemed to be the way to win this war. Also, Mr. Boyle told us how the British were fighting because they had to, while the Continentals were fighting for a cause they believed strongly in. This affected the outcome of many battles because of the enthusiasm, and lack thereof.
