Today I was really tired since I was up late with math homework, but I managed to follow and participate in the discussion. We talked about the issues of the Articles, a government system set up in the United States when it was newly independent. It brought to light that the colonists had to deal with problems that are nothing to us nowdays, such as trade. Also, Mr. Boyle said that the colonists didn't really think of themselves as Americans, but more as "New Yorkans" or "Virginians". I guess that's understandable, considering the colonies had always been mostly seperate and took care of themselves.
